Une oeuvre de Abu Jafar
I started this work while was at Brockhall Village, Lancashire in 1995 then gradually worked on it for almost six years and finished the work at the end of 2001 at my Dockland studio. It is one of the most important artworks in my paintings. It was the idea of the English language and its worldwide expansion through history like a mother and child, never-ending human continuity. It is a map of Great Britain and that map slowly turns into a relaxing lady behind the net.
